Me: I broke my ipod!
Martin: That sucks
Me: It does, a little. My main concern is that my solitaire score was on there. I was working on that for over a year. My life is basically meaningless now.
Martin: Oh gosh. I can understand how you feel. Like the time my mum dropped my pikachu thing down the toilet. To think of the amount of gifts I had given him so he would like me... I was devastated. But you know what, Maryanne? I was able to overcome those dark days. Yes, it took time, but I came out of it a stronger and smarter person, for never again would I allow my mother to take my pikachu to the toilet with her.
Me: I guess it's a lesson we all have to learn sometime...
